The geyser Tatio (the Kunza "Tata-iu", which means "grandfather's tears") is a geothermal field, formed by a number of geysers of different sizes, inserted at 4200 mts altitude, in the valley inside tatio volcanic group, located in the highlands of the Andes, Chile side, about 90 km from San Pedro de Atacama, in the region of Antofagasta.
It is the largest group of geysers in the southern hemisphere and one of the largest in the world.
