This desertic place and touristic attraction point, is located in the cord of salt (called The Salt Cordillera ), located in the Atacama Desert, 15 km west of San Pedro de Atacama and at 100 km. of Calama, belonging to the region of Antofagasta. In 1982, it was declared a sanctuary of nature and is part of the community or Ayllo de Coyo, it is also part of the National Reserve of the flamingos. The tour takes place in the afternoon, pick-up scheduled at the hostel, visit the circuit of the valley of the moon, making walks on foot moderately.
